How great was that North High School Class of 1966 50th Reunion? Thanks to all who planned it, worked it and enjoyed it, and thanks to all who came from near and far to be together.

While most of us were local, Polars traveled from 18 other states and one other country for the reunion.

Thanks to Carol Pagel Haider, here's the tally of other states represented:

Arizona -- 4, California -- 4, Colorado -- 3, Florida -- 3, Iowa -- 1 , Illinois -- 2
Maryland -- 1, Missouri -- 2, North Dakota -- 1, New York -- 2, Ohio -- 1
Pennsylvania -- 1, Tennessee -- 1, Texas -- 3, Virginia -- 1, Washington -- 2
Wisconsin -- 2 and Wyoming -- 1

Winning the award for traveling the most miles was (drum roll please) Michael Guggenheimer, who came all the way from Israel! It was his first time back here in 50 years. Wow!

Floyd has posted a first round of pictures at nhs66.com (part of West St. Paul Antiques - click on the school picture) check often as more will follow.

Way to go, Polars!

Jeff Ansel
Jeff Ansel I really didn't expect to see so many grads. Amazing! So many put so much work into a great weekend. Floyd, you totally rock!! Who could have anticipated all the incredible things you did? I laughed, cheered and cried. You touched my heart in ways that totally blew me away!!! Nobody can beat what you all did.

Charles Kobow
Charles Kobow To all the Mpls. North High class of 1966, it was a pleasure and honor to be with you on your 50th class reunion weekend. My wife Bonnie and I had a great and wonderful time celebrating this special occasion. I apologize for not seeing or speaking to everyone. For me the 2 day event was too short. It was sad to here of those who have passed away, and sad for those who could not attend but maybe someday we will meet again. Your friend Chuck

Steve Barnett
Steve Barnett It was great, Chuck, to reconnect and catch up even a little bit after all these years (I won't say how many....). And I enjoyed meeting Bonnie as well. It was a great reunion!

Mike Sterling
Mike Sterling Slow to recall those moments 50 years back: SuperBowl 1, the Prisoner, the Monkees, and Messenger Willy, a one-man Western Union in the halls of old NHS.
Misty Greene
Misty Greene I also want to add my thanks to all who made our 50th reunion happen. It was an amazing event and wonderful reconnecting with so many. It was fun to see how people had changed and where their paths have taken them. An extra thank you to those few who gave me the extra push to attend. Happy Trails.... till we meet again..
