Hi from Cheryl (Paakkonen) Harstad. Thank you for being involved in arranging so many class reunions over the years and also this year remembering our 70th birthdays. I think I only got to a couple but I appreciate that there have been so many reunions. I live closer now than I used to when we lived in Wisconsin. We are in Mankato, Minnesota, which isn’t that far away but I still don’t seem to make it to the reunions. I was going to post a recent photo but didn’t know how to do it. I could see my high school photo but no instructions how to enter a photo or other info. So I will post it in this email. My husband, Herman, and I went on a trip to Norway in June with a group from our church synod and this photo was taken in Bergen. The other was from a wedding in the Twin Cities we went to in June. For your info, that is my natural hair color. There are a few gray hairs but not noticeable in photos just yet. Our oldest son, Gary, passed away 18 years ago. Our daughter, Susan, is pictured during her vacation to Finland this summer to visit friends and relatives. She lives and works in Mankato at Bethany Lutheran College but is still involved in Scandinavian events in the Twin Cities. Our son, Eric, and his wife Laura and son Leo are pictured at a wedding in Mankato a few weeks ago. He teaches choral music in Madelia but lives in Mankato and he also conducts the Minnesota Valley Chorale here in Mankato. His wife works for Kingdom Workers as director of volunteer management. Their son was adopted from China just over a year ago, our only grandchild. I’m sorry to hear that so many of our classmates have passed away. Thank you and the committee for all your work and greetings to all!
