Gregory Thomas Sichler Sr, age 71, of Princeton, MN, died peacefully in his home Friday, February 8, 2019. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11 AM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church, 1100 Central Avenue North, Milaca, MN 56353. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery, 13026 Chestnut Road, Princeton, MN 55371. Pallbearers will include Dan Bergmann, Cory Breuninger, Perry Heigl, Irv Robinson, Bill Stockler and (granddaughter) Jade Stockler.
Greg was born January 29, 1948 to Francis Clarence Sichler and Arlene Katherine (Brust) in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from North High School in Minneapolis in 1966. He married Gail Marie Dittberner on January 18, 1975 at Church of Christ in Brooklyn Center, MN. They lived in Anoka, MN for seven years prior to moving in 1982 to their current home in Princeton, MN. Greg worked as a machinist and founded GTS Tool Company in the late 1970’s. He retired in October of 2017. Greg was blessed with a mechanical mind, there was nothing he could not repair. It was his determination to fix the unfixable - to make possible the impossible and defy the odds! To him this was a “piece of cake!” and those who knew him, know this well. Greg was a hardworking, generous, fun loving man who loved his friends and family. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, deer hunting, working on cars, farming, and spending time with his friends and family. Greg accepted Christ as his personal Savior December 13, 2018.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Clarence Sichler and Arlene Katherine (Brust).
Greg is survived by his wife, Gail Sichler; son, Gregory Sichler Jr.; daughters: Amy (Bill) Stockler and Sommer (Cory) Breuninger; seven grandchildren; siblings, Thomas (Gloria) Sichler, Douglas (Denise) Sichler and Barbara (John) Bailey.
