| A funeral service for Alnora Capistran of Roosevelt, MN will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Warroad at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.
Alnora Lillian "Cookie" Capistran (Ginger), age 85, was born on April 25, 1926 to Frank Fitske and Agnes Hessel in St. Michael, MN. She grew up and attended school in the St. Michael area.
Alnora married Donald Frederick Capistran on October 10, 1975 and they would make their home in Roosevelt, MN.
Alnora will always be remembered as a great mother, cook, hard worker and a great fishing companion. Her recipes were in her head not in an old cookbook. She worked for 18 years at Electric Craft in Hopkins, MN. She had two children, Cora-Lee and Mary Ann, and many grandchildren. She was always ready to go fishing and was Donald's partner for 36 years. She will be deeply missed.
Alnora Capistran passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. She was 85 years old.
Alnora is survived by her husband, Donald, of Roosevelt, MN; daughters, Cora-Lee (Dennis) Peters of Shawnee, KS, Mary Ann (Robert) Henderson of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, Robert Brown, Richard Brown, Laura Howell, Moe Brown, Michelle Peters, Denny Peters; and her three adopted children. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and many friends.
