| Quist, Ivy Lee (Kosnopfal) (Couillard) September 14, 1948 — August 17, 2006 Ivy Lee Quist, age 57, died at St. Therese Nursing Home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Ivy was born to Patricia and Raymond Quist. She is survived by her mother, her three brothers and one sister: Rex (Barb), Scott (Alida), Susan (Dale Hulme), and Todd; her three daughters: Rebecca (David Branch), Jo (Derron Jones), and Jacqueline Couillard; and six grandchildren: Matthew, Joseph, Noah, Eliana Branch and Anna and Britta Jones. She is preceded in death by her father and grandparents. She graduated from Minneapolis North High School. Ivy attended the University of Minnesota and received her AA Degree. Ivy later returned to school and received her LPN license. Ivy was a lifelong member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. Her favorite past-times included reading, following the Vikings and Gopher football teams, and attending her Womens' Group. Ivy had a loving extended family including Boyd (deceased) and Shirley (Auntie No-No) Hanson and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ivy's compassionate nature led her to have many friends including her dear friend, Mary Kay Higgins. Ivy donated her body to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 2901 Emerson Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Flowers can be sent to the church. Memorials can be sent to the family C/O Rebecca Branch, 3319 Knox Ave. N., Mpls, MN 55412.
