During the time I grew up in Coffeyville, "Our" community was like the saying "it takes a village to raise a child." If someone saw us doing something that they felt wasn't becoming, especially when you were the teachers kid your parents got a call immediately. Everyone knew everyone and it seemed like everyone cared. I really missed that sense of caring after moving to Minneapolis. It was different growing up in a big city, however it did have it's advantages.

Sandra DoddFrom a country town in Kansas to the big city! What a change. It was definitely a new adventure for the McGee's.
