The Role Of USS Essex In The World War II
The USS Essex CV-9 was a aircraft carrier cum battleship which served during the Second World War. Once the war broke out between the Allied and Axis power, it was the latter that had the upper hand. Japan was one of the countries in particular which was giving a lot of trouble to the United States and when they carried out the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States army realized that a serious check was needed to be enforced upon the Japanese forces. This check came in the form of the USS Essex CV-9.
