50th Reunion - Auqust 27th, 2016
North High Class of '66 In-Theater Vietnam Veteran.
Battling a shadowy enemy on uncertain terrain, the millions of American men and women in all branches of the armed forces of the United States took the point in the struggle to prevent communist aggression and liberate the people of South Vietnam.
To all the soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen from North High School Class of '66 who served their country during the Vietnam War sacrificed their lives to sustain the hopes of a people striving to cast off the shackles of tyranny.
Throughout the entire course of America's longest war, they refused to surrender a single battle to the enemy, honoring their commitment to shield the citizens of South Vietnam from the brutal aggression of the North Vietnamese communist forces.
This coin pays tribute to the courage and dedication of the of 1966 Veterans.
Those who served In-Theater in Vietnam. A half-century ago.
These heroes, though callously disregarded in their time by some, were bound together by a common enemy, fate, topography, and politics. Now, inspired by The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, those who belong to this elite club called Vietnam Veterans.
