She will be greatly missed by all. I give thanks for Carol's life.
Passed away March 19th, 2022
It is with deep sadness that I report the news of the death of my friend and classmate Carol J. (Rucke) Glime. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. We give thanks for Carol's life.
Glime (Rucke), Carol Joy Passed away Mar. 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 73. Preceded in death by husband, Rocky; parents Shirley (Faber) and Walter Rucke. Survived by her two children Daniel (Tammy) and Thomas, her two grandchildren Marina (Jared) and Melissa, brothers Thomas and Greg Rucke and sister Maria Rucke, as well as many other relatives and dear friends. Carol was a devoted wife, dedicated mother, and proud grandmother. She graduated from the Church of the Ascension Catholic School and North High. Carol was a kind and compassionate person. She was always available with a sympathetic ear or words of wisdom. Carol gave of herself consistently without hesitation, helping those in need faithfully. She was someone you could always depend on. She had a smile that could easily light up a room along with her love of playing the piano and singing. Carol was a cheerleader for us all, helping us through tough times and celebrating with us our victories. Her unifying efforts will be sorely missed by her family. We were all very blessed to have Carol in our lives. We miss you and love you very much. A celebration of Carol's life will take place on Thursday, April 7th at St. Joseph's Historic Little Catholic Church in Plymouth, MN (13015 Rockford Road, Plymouth, MN 55441) Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family. Published on March 27, 2022
I can not imagine a world without Carol Rucke. She was the sunshine in the room, you couldn't help but smile with her. When we went off to college together the fall of "66" we had big dreams, many of which we accomplished some not, but whatever the challenge, Carol had that 'Personality Plus Smile' on her face. You will be missed my friend.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Glime and Rucke families during this time of great loss.
Kathy (Pemberton) Heikke
Kathy Heikke's remembrance and tribute to Carol says it all. For many of our fellow North High grads she will always be a beacon of hope, joy and youthful energy.
Age 57, of Crystal. Rocky was a Viet Nam Veteran. He continued to visit Da Nang and Phnom Penh at least weekly, if not nightly. Rocky enjoyed spending time with his sons and granddaughters particularly on the golf course, drawing or building projects. He will be greatly missed by his family & friends. We give thanks for Rock's life.
Go in peace and remember you are not forgotten while I am still on patrol.

I am so sad to hear of Carol’s passing. We had been communicating quite often via messenger over the past several years because we both suffered from Crohn’s disease. I have known her since we were little girls. I know she will be greatly missed by family and friends. She has touched my life personally over the years and I will miss her and our conversations. RIP sweet Carol and thank you for caring.

A truly selfless humble soul that gave us all hope that humanity does care for their brothers and sisters, We met at St Raphael's while Danny and Tommy were in elementary school. You knew it was going to be a fun event if Carol was going to be there. and what a devoted cheerleader she was for all. She and Rocky loved their boys. . Thank you Carol for the memories and your compassion.
You will be missed.. And God will say, "Well done my good and faithful servant.'.
With love to her family,
