My mentor, my hero, my best friend, my Father... I’m hurt that I can never talk to you again, but I am at peace to know you’re not suffering anymore. I’m going to miss you so much. I’m completely broken that you’re gone. I love you, Dad. I’ll remember your last words to me. “Stay encouraged, my Son”

They came this way but once. Yet, they touched our lives in many ways while they were here. We shall remain eternally grateful for their friendship and for the influence each bestowed upon us.

Brother and sister,

I will always look up to

Diane & Duane Witherspoon
Too hard for me to say goodbye
For all apparent reasons why
Even though we all know it must be
Each heart will someday stop the beat
When the rhythm of life, and silence, finally meet.

Yet I always seem so surprised
To find that death is part of life.

Go in peace and remember you are not forgotten while I am still on patrol.
